Elizabeth Hoover

Professor Elizabeth Hoover is Assistant Professor of American Studies and Ethnic Studies. She received her BA at Williams College in 2001, an MA in Museum Studies at Brown in 2003 and PhD in Anthropology at Brown University in 2010. As a scholar, she works on contemporary environmental justice in Native American communities, indigenous farming and subsistence revival movements, Native American museum curation, and community engaged research. We are so pleased to have her speak today particularly because of her involvement with Brown, Providence, and other communities outside the classroom.
