Sean Feiner is a concentrator in the Department of Modern Culture and Media. His undergraduate honor thesis, The Discipline of Gaming: The Ethics and Design of Affective Labor is an interrogation of the computer game as an emergent field within the international academy, a platform of professionalization, and an object and medium of contemporary art. He is a member of the 2011 Teach For America Alabama Corps and has enrolled in SUNY Buffalo’s Masters in Film program starting the fall of 2013. His other research interests include discourses of medium specificity, comparative media practices and studies, media literacies, digital media art practices, curatorial practices, and the aesthetics of televisual expertise. He is originally from Farmingdale, New York.
