Gene Goldstein-Plesser ’11

An urbanist, an environmentalist, and a lover of all-things-transit, Gene is graduating in May with a Bachelors of Arts in Urban Studies and Political Science. During his time at Brown, Gene completed two major urban research projects, investigating the history of Managua, Nicaragua’s poor urban form, and studying development conflicts here in Providnece. This semester, he worked as a Preservation Intern for the Providence Department of Planning and Development, helping develop a policy for the city to cut down on preventable demolitions. When he’s not busy trying to fix cities, you might find him teaching English, leading Shabbat services, or making peanut sauce in his vegetarian co-op.
